Barbecue Beans a la Sheila

These are criminally delicious. However, they must be consumed when one is outdoors, or before going outdoors for a long period of time. I'm trying to be delicate here.

½ lb ground beef
½ lb bacon, cut into small pieces
1 medium onion, peeled and coarsely chopped

In a skillet, crumble and brown the beef. Drain off all the fat and set aside. Using the same skillet, fry the bacon. When done, remove the bacon and drain off most of the fat. Saute the onion in the remaining bacon fat until translucent.

Combine in a large baking dish:

¼ c ketchup
¼ c hot barbecue sauce
½ tsp salt
2 tbsp prepared mustard (the house brand is Gulden's spicy brown)
2 tbsp molasses
½ tsp chili powder
½ tsp ground pepper
2 16 oz cans pinto beans, drained
2 16 oz cans pork and beans

Stir in ground beef, bacon and onion. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for one hour.
